Judge Mary Jane Trapp
Candidate for the Ohio Supreme Court
This is your opportunity to meet Judge Trapp and help elect a judge who practiced in the
trenches at every level of Ohio’s courts for 25 years before she took the bench. Judge Trapp currently serves as the
Presiding & Administrative Judge of the Eleventh District Court of Appeals. She is a Past President of the Ohio State
Bar Association and a Life Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation. Judge Trapp received the state bar’s highest rating
of “Highly Recommended,” and in a February 2010 Plain Dealer article was called the Eleventh District Court of
Appeals’ “brightest star.”

The Ohio Bar Association and the Lake County Bar
Association have each recognized Judge Trapp's distinguished knowledge and experience by giving her their most prestigious
rating of "Highly Recommended.” Lake County is served by the Eleventh District Court of Appeals where Judge Trapp
is the Presiding & Administrative Judge. Judicial Candidates Rating Coalition (JCRC) gave 11th District Court of Appeals
Presiding and Administrative Judge Mary Jane Trapp, who is a candidate for the Ohio Supreme Court, a unanimous "4"
or perfect score. No other candidate for the Ohio Supreme Court received an across the board "excellent" rating
from this group.
Under Ohio law, individuals may each contribute up to
$3,450 to Citizens for Judge Mary Jane Trapp; spouses may each contribute up to this amount; organizations such as political
action committees and law firms may each contribute up to $6,325. The contribution limit for an individual is separate from
that of an organization. Corporations may not contribute. Citizens for Judge Mary Jane Trapp does not knowingly solicit or
accept contributions from employees of the Ohio Supreme Court or from any business that is or has been a vendor of the Court
during the previous six calendar years. Any such employee or vendor who inadvertently receives this solicitation should please
disregard it. Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Ohio taxpayers are eligible for a state
income credit up to $50 for individuals and $100 for joint filers.
